week2

My best piece of creative work before this course. It is one of my projects from UNSW foundation course. In this project, we are required to create a 3D model on a A3 foam core, with the principle of focal point, balance, movement or scale performed. For my work, the major prince is focal point and movement. The material I used for the modle was white card board, so that it is hard enough to look clean and tidy, showing clean edges and sharp angles.

This is the Vitra Fire Station. This is a great piece of architecture from Zaha Hadid, a world famous architect. I was fascinated by the the geometric structure and those edges, especially the strong triangular shape structure. Those are works so great to give out a strong feeling.

This is a sunset view from a cave. The sea level divided the photo by half. In the cave there are all rocks with dirt colour, surrounded the view outside and looks like a frame. The view outside showed the mountain, blue sky and the sea. The sunset was beautifully placed on the left, appeared as a focal point.

This is a sculpture of concrete, which is 68 m squared. Its a work of collaboration between Antony Gormley and David Chipperfield.

I think the shape is clean and interesting and personally I love concrete and grey colour. They looks very nice with the nature.
